Blended learning

International Tax Course 2020

Aug - Dec. Consisting of seven workshops and six tutorials, the course helps candidates to understand the key international tax concepts and to develop practical skills for tax practitioners to give competent advice with respect to cross-border transactions. This course is also a compulsory component of the Institute's Professional Diploma in China Tax and Professional Diploma in Hong Kong Tax. Depending on conditions, this course may utilize webinars instead of face-to-face events.

Live free webinar: 2019 comprehensive review of the IFRS for SMEs Standard

11 Aug. During this live free webinar the speaker, Darrel Scott, International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) member and Chairman of the IASB’s SME Implementation Group, will explain the scope of and approach to the 2019 review of the IFRS for SMEs standard, focusing on some of its more significant changes. Enrolment opens at 9 a.m. Thursday, 30 Jul, and are limited and accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.

Data Analytics Series: New generation of financial planning & analysis planning and executive dashboard

Lunch webinar on 25 Aug. The speaker will demonstrate how to leverage technology to help businesses grow and help financial planning and analysis professionals plan and present data.

The development of mobile payment in China

E-seminar available now. An overview of the development of mobile payment in Mainland China, why and how mobile payment works, and its way forward.

China M&A update

E-seminar, available now. Speakers discuss the latest M&A market development trend under the impact of China-U.S. tensions and COVID-19, as well as sharing recent market indicators. Speakers also review the accounting and tax value creation opportunities that market players consider during a deal cycle.

IAASB’s Exposure Draft for ISA 600 (Revised)

E-learning, available now. Learn about the proposed International Standard on Auditing (ISA) 600 (Revised), which introduces an enhanced risk-based approach to planning and performing a group audit, and highlights the importance of the group engagement team’s involvement in the component auditor’s work. The speakers also explain the background to the proposals and the key changes.

2020 CIA Challenge Exam – A fast track to attain the CIA designation

The Institute, in partnership with The Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA), is pleased to offer members the 2020 CIA Challenge Exam - a fast track way for Institute members to attain the globally recognized Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
