International Tax Course 2020

Aug - Dec. Join the course covering key international tax concepts including double tax agreements, transfer pricing and tax planning for cross-border transactions. This course is a compulsory component of the Institute's Professional Diplomas in China Tax and Hong Kong Tax. You may also take the course on its own to expand your international tax knowledge. Depending on conditions, this course may utilize webinars instead of face-to-face events.

Lunch webinar on 1 Sep. The number of fraud cases has been increasing due to the COVID-19 situation and the economic downturn. As indicated in Forensic Interest Group’s simple guide to combating fraud, some companies may find themselves under pressure to manipulate their financial results at such times. In this live webinar, the speakers will discuss situations of possible fraud and how to identify indicators and red flags.

Lunch webinar on 4 Sep. Learn more about main investigation powers of regulators and law enforcement agencies, as well as practical issues surrounding the handling of such investigations.

HKAS 36: How to apply and practical issues for impairment

Live webinar on 7 Sep. The speaker will discuss some commonly identified errors in the application of HKAS 36 Impairment of Assets and the disclosures issues observed in practice. The webinar will share tips on performing impairment tests and include a real-time Q&A session.

Data Analytics Series: Modernizing the office of finance with a finance transformation platform

Lunch webinar on 10 Sep. The concepts of digital finance transformation and the evolution of information technology systems supporting the finance function in the organization will be discussed.
