Two new e-Series courses on business insurance and preparation of annual and directors' report |

Discover the two newly added courses of e-Series: 1) Business insurance: A practical guide for accountants that gives an overview of Hong Kong insurance markets and regulations and key business insurance products. It also discusses the need of insurance for a company; and 2) Preparing annual report and directors' report with ease that introduces disclosure requirements under the Listing Rules and Hong Kong Companies Ordinance as well as the common omissions of information and misconceptions of requirements. |

Anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism webinar for accountants |

Webinars on 9 November (Cantonese) and 16 November (English). Speakers of the joint Institute-Narcotics Division of Security Bureau event will cover accountants' requirements under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance, the statutory obligations and practices relating to suspicious transaction reporting, and the key issues in the Institute's AML/ CFT guidelines from a practitioner's perspective. Accounting and Financial Reporting Series: COVID-19 related financial reporting issues for 2020 reporting periods |

Live webinar: Industry Update Relating to Licensed Corporations |

In this live webinar on 8 December, the speakers from SFC will discuss: 1) the implications of the SFC's licensing regime to family offices intending to carry out asset management or other services in Hong Kong and the related FAQs; 2) FAQs on the assessment of the corporate structure and investment process of Corporate Professional Investors for the purpose of exemption from certain requirements of the Code of Conduct for Persons Licensed by or Registered with the SFC; and 3) key changes to the financial return form. In addition, the Institute speaker will focus on the matters included in Alert No 35 and common practice review findings related to audit and compliance work on licensed corporations. |
