Live webinar: Revisions to the Code to promote the role and mindset expected of professional accountants

CPD hour: 1.5

Live webinar on 19 Feb featuring the Deputy Chair of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) discusses the revisions to the Institute's Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (Code) including the relationship between compliance with the Code and a professional accountant's responsibility to act in the public interest; enhancement to the fundamental principles of the Code etc., and an overview of the IESBA's Definitions of Listed Entity and Public Interest Entity Project.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Series – Audit and controls in ERP systems: Inventory management process

CPD hour: 1.5

The webinar on 20 Feb focuses on how ERP systems can be used to automate the control and management of inventory in order to minimize inventory losses. The processes of inventory movements and inventory and warehouse management will be discussed.

Capital vs revenue income - A review of precedent cases

CPD hour: 1

The speaker will discuss the landmark tax cases on how to distinguish capital and revenue income and the guiding principles behind these tax cases. This seminar is a demo lesson of the Institute's Advanced Hong Kong Tax Course.

Soft Skills Series

CPD hour (for each): 1.5

This series will cover the skills on managing and driving performance of a team at workplace. The new coaching methods, the ways to nurture proactiveness, and online meeting facilitation skills will be shared.

Best Corporate Governance Awards Series: Recent ESG developments and their impact on credit

CPD hour: 1

At this free lunch webinar, the speaker from Fitch Ratings will cover the key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) trends influencing credit in 2021, with a focus on Asia-Pacific region; how the low carbon transition will vary for sectors and regions up to 2050; and, how Fitch considers ESG in credit ratings.

Online enrolment is limited and accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
