Guardian role of professionals in upholding ethical governance

In the webinar on 14 Dec, the speaker will discuss the relevant sections of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance in relation to the duties and responsibilities of directors and professionals in preventing corruption and other malpractices. Business and other ethical issues as well as the "3As" model of ethical governance will be covered.

ESG Series – Latest trends and updates

Comprising four webinars, this series will cover the fundamentals in environmental, social and governance (ESG) and sustainability and the latest trends and updates on the certain key areas of ESG. The first webinar on 15 Dec will discuss the basics and the latest development of ESG, sustainability, the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and climate change risk management. The second webinar on 17 Dec will talk about the latest ESG trends, how to integrate an ESG strategy and how an ESG strategy generate value for shareholders.

IFRS Interpretations Committee Agenda Decisions that are relevant to Hong Kong

CPD hour: 1.5

This live webinar on 15 Dec will cover several IFRS Interpretations Committee agenda decisions/tentative agenda decisions that may have wider implications in Hong Kong. These include costs necessary to sell inventories, configuration or customization costs in a cloud computing arrangement, supply chain financing arrangements – reverse factoring, classification of debt with covenants as current or non-current, and the preparation of financial statements when an entity is no longer a going concern.

Practice Management Series for SMPs - Automation and analytics: Digitization beyond ERP for additional value

This live webinar on 16 Dec will examine the trends in automation technology and how these trends are being applied to finance and accounting, operations and planning. The levels of analytics capabilities and the technology required and the intersection of automation and analytics will be discussed.

At the lunch webinar on 17 Dec, the speaker will talk about history of cryptocurrency and the current regulatory environment around the world where major exchanges are facing critical sanctions and challenges. How the regulators are shaping the digital assets industry and the role of Hong Kong in the blockchain sphere including smart contracts, security tokens and their offering will also be shared.

The CPA Conference 2021: Transcending together (archived sessions)

Missed the physical conference? The archived sessions are now available. In the morning session, the speakers shared insights on brand value creation and transformation, the business lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the urgent need for digital transformation. In the afternoon session, the speakers talked about doing business with purpose, the future of the finance function, as well as the evolving skill sets and the path forward for the accounting profession.
