New Quality Management Standards Series

This three-part series will begin with a workshop on 8 Mar, covering key requirements and applications in practical scenarios, as well as illustrative examples on how small and medium practitioners can implement resources to meet the new requirements.

Live webinar: Revised non-assurance services and fee-related provisions of the Code of Ethics For Professional Accountants

CPD hour: 1.5

In this webinar, the speaker will explain key provisions of the revised non-assurance services (NAS) and fee-related independence standards of the Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants that will come into effect in December 2022. They significantly strengthen the guardrails around auditor independence in two important areas that have the potential to create incentives influencing auditor behaviour – NAS provided to audit clients and fees.

ICTIG and FSIG joint webinar – FinTech: From blockchain to NFTs, metaverse

CPD hour: 1

The speaker will talk about Hong Kong's role in the blockchain sphere including smart contracts, security tokens and their offerings, DeFi (decentralized finance), NFTs (non-fungible tokens), the metaverse, GameFi, ETFs, FinTech, regulations, and more.

In this series from March to May, the speakers will talk about stocks, bonds and derivatives. Facility letter, term sheet and financial statements, will also be discussed.

Institute/ CIMA joint virtual workshops: Risk management (re-run)

CPD hour: 20/ 24

The joint virtual workshops will cover risk management concepts and is designed for those who intend to develop financial and management skills, as well as build up business acumen and commercial awareness. An optional session focusing on examination techniques is available for those who are preparing for the Chartered Global Management Accountant Paper P3 examination.

ESG Series – Latest trends and updates (archived webinar)

CPD hour (for each): 1 - 1.5

Four archived webinars from the ESG series are now available. They cover fundamental knowledge in ESG and sustainability and the latest trends and updates on certain key areas of ESG – climate change, sustainability, ESG reporting, and supply chain health and safety.
