Navigating the Tech Wave: A Study of Technology Adoption by Small and Medium Accounting Practices in Hong Kong
While technology innovation has become a key driving force for growth and competitiveness, small and medium practices (SMPs) face unique hurdles in embracing digital transformation.
To delve into the intricacies of this complex scenario, the Institute has conducted a series of interviews with SMPs and technology vendors. The findings shed light on the inherent challenges in digital transformation that SMPs face, such as costs and the need for training and development. It also highlights the potential benefits, and offers strategic insights to gain a competitive edge while overcoming risks. In mapping out the current landscape, this piece proposes the way forward for the adoption of technology by SMPs in Hong Kong.

Importance of CPD declaration
50th Anniversary Gala Dinner
Members should be reminded of the importance of declaring continuing professional development (CPD) compliance annually for membership renewal. CPD records in MyCPA on the Institute website do not equate to a declaration of CPD compliance, and submission of the CPD declaration with your Annual Return for Renewal is still required. Failure to declare CPD compliance will result in non-renewal of membership. Learn more about CPD requirements. Other FAQs on CPD are available here.
