Let’s go green for the community

Recycling is important for minimizing our impact on the planet. To increase environmental awareness and instil a green living culture in the community, the Environmental Protection Department has set up recycling stations across Hong Kong. Items that can be recycled include paper, metals, plastics, glass bottles, electrical equipment or appliances, fluorescent lamps and tubes, and rechargeable batteries. You can also earn “greeny coins” when recycling at the recycling points. Collect enough coins and exchange them for eco-friendly gifts. Make your life greener by recycling.

Reminder: Consultation on the proposed framework for the one member one vote election of the President and Vice-Presidents

The Council is keen to hear your views on the proposed framework for the one member one vote election of the President and Vice-Presidents by 31 May. Visit the consultation webpage now, read the consultation paper and take part in this important governance exercise. A questionnaire is available to enable you to easily have your say about the questions in the consultation paper, and you can also listen to the recordings of the briefing session held in March on the framework for background information.
