Final Call: Live virtual workshop on HKSA 315 (Revised 2019) Identifying and Assessing the Risks of Material Misstatement – Key requirements and implications on auditing

18 Feb. This virtual workshop will help participants plan ahead for audits with year-ends on or after Dec 2022 by providing an overview of the key changes in HKSA 315 (Revised 2019), and a deep dive into the requirements of the revised standard and implications on auditing.

Practice Management Series for SMPs: Recruiting and engaging with staff members (archived webinar)

E-seminar. The speaker shares how to better plan the interview process so that appropriate candidates can be identified, and key considerations in staff engagement and retention. Important notes in designing a competency based interview approach, different generations' expectations for work, coaching leadership for a high performance team, etc. are also discussed.

Themed "Change for good", the 2021 SMP Symposium covered updates on topical issues affecting small and medium practices (SMPs), including the further reform of the regulatory regime of accounting profession, trust or company service provider licensing, re-domiciliation of limited partnership funds, major financial reporting and auditing standards, digitalization of SMPs, and more, as well as recent developments of the Institute and the International Federation of Accountants. FSIG e-seminar – SFC/Stock Exchange investigations and proceedings against listed companies and directors (archived webinar)
