ICTIG and FSIG joint webinar – FinTech: From blockchain to NFTs, metaverse

15 Mar. The Information, Communications and Technology Interest Group (ICTIG) and Financial Services Interest Group (FSIG) will organize a webinar on 15 Mar. The webinar will cover Hong Kong's role in the blockchain sphere including smart contracts, security tokens and their offerings, "DeFi" (or decentralized finance), non-fungible tokens "NFTs", the metaverse, "GameFi", ETFs, FinTech, regulations, and more.

Investment Series – Overview of hedge fund and its outlook

25 Mar. The speaker will share reasons to invest in hedge funds, the essential attributes of a hedge fund, different types of hedge fund strategies, such as long-short equities, relative value, and event driven strategies, as well as different performance measures and an outlook for hedge funds.

Institute/ CIMA joint virtual workshops: Risk management (re-run)

26 Mar - 10 Apr. The speaker will talk about risk management concepts and the worshops are designed for those who intend to develop financial and management skills, as well as build up business acumen and commercial awareness. An optional session focusing on examination techniques is available for those who are preparing for the Chartered Global Management Accountant Paper P3 examination.

Investment Series – Option trading and its applications

1 Apr. The speaker will walk participants through how options work in the investment market, the key factors affecting options prices and the application of basic options investment strategies. Examples will be shared for illustration.
