Module Preparation Seminars on QP Professional Modules

The Institute is holding a series of Module Preparation Seminars (MPS) on QP Professional Modules for the December 2025 session. The MPS aim at helping you to reinforce the understanding on major or difficult topics.

Ms. Phei Koid,

Fellow of ICAEW, EMBA Kellogg-HKUST 

Core by Phei & Co. Limited

 

Phei has been teaching Module 11, Module 3 and the Capstone / Final Exam since 2007. Phei qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a Big 4 firm in the UK and subsequently worked in a Big 4 firm in Hong Kong, where she conducted in-house IFRS training for the firm's Hong Kong and many of its Mainland China offices including Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Xiamen in both English and Mandarin. Phei is the founder and managing director of Core, a training company established since 2012 that specialises in the HKICPA exam training courses for Big 4 and public classes.

Mr. Ted Chan,

Arrow Professional Training Limited

 

Ted has been teaching QP since 2009, and has taught in various universities in Hong Kong. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and started his career as an auditor in a Big 4 firm. He is an FCPA and CFA.

Module 13 – Business Assurance

  • Evaluate the entity's significant risks of material misstatements at the financial statement and assertion levels
  • Explain the purpose of and procedures to be used during audit completion:
    - A subsequent events review
    - A going concern review
    - Obtaining written representations from management
 

Mr. Jacky Li,

BBA, MSc, FCPA 

HKCA Learning Media Limited

 

Mr. Jacky Li is a fellow member of the HKICPA and had also been a QP Workshop Facilitator. He was an Audit Manager in one of the Big 4 firm with over six years solid audit experience.

Jacky obtained his Master degree with Distinction in corporate Governance and Directorship and was the Scholastic Award winner (highest cumulative GPA) of his class. During the same year, Jacky has also completed the pilot run Financial Controllership Program organized by the HKICPA and was one of the prize winners.

Module 14 – Taxation

  • Tax and business analysis in the context of merger and acquisition transactions

  • Deductions and allowances claimable under salaries tax


Mr. Pason Ngan,

Kaplan Financial (HK) Limited

 

Pason is a senior tax manager in one of the Big 4 firms with over 10 years’ experience in Hong Kong tax and international tax. Apart from working in the Big 4 firm, he is enthusiastic about teaching and spends his personal time as a lecturer of various tax courses (including QP M14) in Kaplan. He is also a CPA and prize winner of QP Final Exam (December 2014 session).
